Being Preppy

 in fact most of the preppy style is classic stuff man, the difference is how to use that. always agree with the sentence stating that looks cool instead of what we wear, but how you wear it. I often see many people wearing branded clothes but still doesn't look fashionable.

so, what's wrong with preppy style? nope, just curious, so lately preppy style back to the surface. wherever, we often see big glasses-men using light-color chino / jeans, long-sleeved shirts and sweaters, with boat shoes or classic dress shoes. In mainstream, they use shorts chino combine with long-sleeved shirts and boat shoes.

a couple years ago, I thought people who wore these clothes look like a gay. But when i think again, i have many stuff they used. so, am i a gay? absolutely no! as i told you in the first paragraph, the difference is how to wear that. over time, everything becomes all the usual and I even fell in love with some "preppy style" stuff like chinos, classic dress shoes like wingtip brogues, boat shoes, and another stuff. We cannot find the difference between gay, and fashionable guy except with color of their stuff. All people look the same!

In the eighties the preppy look was real popular and any guy would have looked at this guide and been all over it. They would have taken it heart. Men today dress preppy more then they realize. They take the classics and mix then with today's clothes and have came up with a new modern preppy style. If you want to dress preppy here are some essential items that you must have.

• The preppy outfit must include shirts. These should be colorful shirts.
• What preppy outfit is complete without sweaters? These need to be sweaters that fit your frame well. Do not wear sweaters that are way to big.
• You need at least one pair of chinos. These can be worn anywhere.
• Jeans are also important. Even the preppy look involves wearing jeans on occasion. Slim, Slim straight cut jeans are the kind that you need. If you fold the cuff up it will make them look even more preppy.
• You will also need a great fitting blazer. A crest on it is an added touch but not necessary.
• You will need either chinos shorts, cargos shorts or pleated shorts. Or even all three. These can work for a casual preppy look or even for dressing up a little.
• When it comes to jackets try a windbreaker for cool days and pullovers for colder days. Again just make sure they fit well.
• For those really cold days then wear a tweed coat or even a pea coat. Add a scarf and you have just pulled off the perfect preppy look. But in Indonesia, we cannot use scarf!

As described about preppy style, preps are notoriously properly mannered, from top to bottom, including the hair of course. Hair are nicely trimmed and shaved regularly. Many barber shop that provide classic style haircut because of the large demand for classic hairstyles. Slicked back undercut hairstyle, and another 1970's hairstyle become "in" in the early 2012. Including me, I tried to comb my hair to the left, and shaved both sides with "1", and shaved back with "3" (called undercut)

So, am i preppy style-guy? i don't think so. I'm not being "preppy" every day. I might mix preppy style with clothes that can be worn everyday. It's funny if i go to the college and use blazer. Looks so overdressed.

 anyway, just for information. i'm not a fashion enthusiast, fashionable guy or whatever you called. i am straight, normal guy, not gay, cool, handsome, genius, or what ever you want to call that means i am.
